Important information and FAQ

The Tomahawks use Sports Engine to communicate with parents. All practice schedules, games,
and events will be posted to the sports engine app. Practice and game cancellations will also be posted
to the sports engine app. All weather-related practice cancellations will be updated on sports engine by
5PM the day of practice. Please do not clutter the chat with questions about rain, lightning, tornadoes,
etc. A board member will relay all practice changes by 5PM the day of practice.

Uniforms are included with registration for Spring 9on9 flag. You will have the oppurtunity to pick your athletes uniform size with the sizing chart during registration process.

Spring 9on9 Season Practice

Spring season practices will be Tuesday and Thursday and may be less depending on you athlete's coach. Practice will be from 6-730pm.  Athlete's will need to attend practice with their helmet, mouth-guard, cleats, and reusable water bottle. No plastic single-use water bottles will be allowed on the field. Please be mindful of the items you bring with you to practice and ensure you pick up all your trash. Any trash that must be picked up by staff after practice will cause players to run at the following practice. Your player should NEVER attend practice wearing their game day jersey’s. Prior year jerseys may be used as practice attire at your coach’s discretion. Parents and siblings are not allowed on the field during practices or games. This is for insurance purposes. At the time of registration your child is fully covered by our insurance, spectators are not. If your child is hurt during practice or games the coaches and team mom’s will assess the player and bring them to you if the injury necessitates.

Games are held on Sunday’s, and you may be scheduled for a game anytime between 1pm – 5pm. You will be asked to arrive at games 1 hour before the start. Please check your Sports Engine app for schedules as arrive times will be posted there for games. Season will last 5 weeks and each team will have 2 games each game day.   There is a gate fee to attend games. Adults are $6 and seniors &  children 5-17 are $4 each. You will be charged at all games no matter the location so please be prepared. Not all towns take credit cards. There are no outside food or drinks allowed for spectators. Our home games will require that all after game drinks and snacks be left at the field gate, they will not be allowed past the gate. There will be NO tents, coolers, chairs, wagons, oversized umbrellas, or pets of any kind allowed into the stands. Bluetooth speakers or microphones unless used by Football teams. If you are caught with one, we will be asked to return it to your vehicle or not enter the playing facility.

  • Please allow your coaches to deal with officials, and let board members deal with the fans from opposing towns.
  • Please do not embarrass our organization by getting into it with parents from another town.

If you have issues with a coach please reach out to our coaching director, Steve Barres. If you
feel your child is being treated unfairly, if there are issues with decorum, etc. please take it to our
coaching director. He will be able to assess the situation, facilitate a meeting, and correct behavior much
more quickly than posting complaints in your team chat. Each coach will have a team meeting before
the season begins, it will most likely be at the end of one of your first practices. He will introduce himself
and his assistant coaches and you will be able to ask any questions that were not asked at the Town Hall.
